Dr. Andy Orr was born and raised in Jonesboro, AR. He married his college sweetheart, Cathy Bland, in 2003. Together, they have one son, Matthew, who was born in 2009. He graduated 4th in his high school class from Jonesboro High School in 1999 earning a full scholarship to Lyon College in Batesville, AR, via the Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship.
During his time in Batesville, he was actively involved in several activities. He was a member of both the Alpha Chi Honor Society and Chi Beta Phi Science Honor Society. Dr. Andy was a member of Kappa Sigma from 2000-2003 and served as Treasurer in 2002. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lyon College in 2003 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.
Next, he attended the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry from 2003-2007 where he served as a class officer. Dr. Andy was on the Dean’s list each year of attendance and was awarded the Delta Dental of Arkansas Scholarship in 2007. That same year, he was also named to the Richard Doggett & Marguerite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society. He graduated with Honors in 2007 and moved back to Arkansas to work for Central Arkansas Dental Associates.
After practicing in Little Rock for nearly 6 years, Dr. Andy Orr made the move to Community Dentistry to help build a brighter future for children in Northwest Arkansas. Just like Community Dentistry, Dr. Orr is dedicated to giving back and making a difference in the community by offering the best and most affordable service while maintaining the highest quality dental care. Dr. Orr also mentors young dentists through Central Arkansas Dental Associates and is a member of the ADA and ASDA. Dr. Andy Orr is currently in the process of planning to lead his first dental group to Honduras Summer of 2013.
Dr. Jordan Cooper was born and raised in Jacksonville, AR. His father is Dr. James Cooper, a Jonesboro, AR native and practicing dentist of 39 years and his mother, Tracy Cooper, is a dental hygienist from Little Rock. Dr. Jordan married Hannah Proffitt in 2007. He graduated high school from Central Arkansas Christian, after which he matriculated at the University of Arkansas as a Chancellor’s Scholar in 1998.
During his studies at the University of Arkansas, he studied abroad in Mexico, Costa Rica and Spain. The culmination of his studies resulted in a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Arkansas, after which he enrolled in the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry. He graduated from UT in 2006. After dental school, he joined his father in practice in Jacksonville.
In 2007, he co-founded Central Arkansas Dental Associates, which has grown to become a 4 office general dentistry group practice, where he now functions as CEO. Dr. Cooper also fulfills the CEO role at the office he shares with his father, Cooper Family Dentistry. In 2008, he co-founded The Arkansas School of Dental Assisting with Misty Davis, RDA, which has graduated several classes of highly trained dental assistants. In 2010, he created Online Practice Builders, a company focused on growing dental practices by perfecting online presence through website development, social media and web optimization. Dr. Jordan has been published in the Progressive Dentist Magazine. He is involved in various organizations professionally and personally, both stateside and abroad. Professionally active in the ASDA; Dr. Jordan is currently the Chairman of the New Dentist Committee. He is enrolled in a prestigious program with the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce called Leadership Arkansas which is designed for future state business leaders. Dr. Jordan is currently planning to lead his first dental group to Honduras Summer of 2013. Dr. Jordan is also the Arkansas State Leader for the DHI Head Start Program (Dental Home Initiative). He is a member of the Jacksonville Rotary Club, where he was the chairman of the Healthy Smiles Committee from 2007-2009. In 2012 Dr. Cooper founded Community General and Implant Dentistry in Springdale. Dr. Jordan is active in the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce where he is a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Community Development Committee. He is active in his church and various mission organizations, with experience in providing dentistry and health care to several countries in Central America.
